Our Team

Kearra Grana, Senior Paralegal

Kearra has been with the Law Office of Sean M. Wilson, LLC since the spring of 2019 where she was an intern with Trident Technical College’s paralegal program. She was hired on as a full time paralegal upon her graduation from the program. Kearra assists in personal injury, civil litigation, and workers’ compensation.

Kearra was born in Mobile, Alabama and relocated to Charleston nine years ago with family.

Kearra graduated in May of 2021 from the College of Charleston with her professional studies degree and a concentration in legal studies.  She is attending the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law and is obtaining a masters in Sports and Entertainment Law.

Kearra enjoys traveling, mountain hiking, spending time with her family, and rooting for either the Carolina Gamecocks or Auburn Tigers on Saturday’s watching football.

Carla Ocampo, Office Manager

Carla started her position with The Law Office of Sean M. Wilson, LLC in October 2020. She is a Southern California native who recently transitioned to the lowcountry and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Point Loma Nazarene University in 2018.

During her Criminal Justice studies, she began her legal career at Navarro Law Firm, where she gained valuable experience and passion for law while working in a variety of Workers’ Compensation cases. Upon completion of her bachelor’s degree, she obtained a position at Andrews Lagasse Branch and Bell, where she discovered an interest for civil litigation. Thereafter, she continued her legal career as a personal injury paralegal at The Ellis Firm, APLC, while also taking MBA courses.

Carla fluently speaks Spanish and will be assisting with our Spanish Speaking clients. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, salsa dancing, Los Angeles Lakers basketball, and reading.

Jalissa Spalding, Paralegal

Jalissa started her position with the Law Office of Sean M. Wilson, LLC in October of 2020. Jalissa is a native of Louisville, KY and recently relocated to the lowcountry. Jalissa earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Eastern Kentucky University in May of 2017, and Jalissa earned her Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Georgia State University in May 2019.

Jalissa is passionate about advocating for others and she aspires to attend law school in the future. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as a Legal Support Specialist.

Jalissa is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., where she became a member as a student at Eastern Kentucky University. Jalissa enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and trying new foods.

Burnes Wilson, Legal Assistant

Burnes is the father of Sean Wilson and started with the Law Office of Sean M. Wilson, LLC when it opened in 2018.

Burnes was born in small community called Sampit in Georgetown, SC and graduated from Andrews High School after the closing of Rosemary High School due to integration. Burnes is the proud father of three, grandfather of seven, and widower of the late Shirley Jean Wilson, the mother of Sean M. Wilson.

Burnes received his Associates Degree from Connecticut School of Electronic Technology in 1975. Burnes has worked with several companies including IBM, ADP, National Medical Care, UPS, and Wal-Mart prior to joining the Law Office of Sean M. Wilson.

Burnes enjoys spending time with his family, church, outdoors, grilling, fishing, and helping others.

Kimberly Smalls, Legal Assistant

Kimberly joined the Law Office of Sean M. Wilson, LLC in August 2021. She is a native of Charleston, South Carolina and was born and raised in Mount Pleasant.

Kimberly attended Erskine College in 2015 where she played Division II basketball before transferring to the University of South Carolina in 2017. As a student at USC, she served the community as an Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity member and interned with the Charleston County Probate Court.

In 2019, Kimberly earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science. She intends on furthering her legal career by attending law school.

In her free time, Kimberly enjoys spending time with her family, going to art and history museums, and relaxing on the beach.
